Snow, snow, snow

We're in the middle of the "blizzard of the century" or so they say. It just keeps coming down! My parents had 14" last night and through the night. I can't even imagine what that much snow looks like! Originally we were supposed to get 8-12" ourselves, but they changed it to 2" this morning. It was raining all night and into the morning it was a little icy. About 12:30 it turned into snow and it's been snowing ever since. We went this morning to check out another apartment - it was so cold! We haven't been back outside since!

We've had a busy couple of weeks, thus my absence on the blog. I went to Atlanta at the beginning of March for an overnight trip and I just got back from a phone-a-thon in Laramie, WY. I just beat the blizzard out of Laramie to come home to this!

Chris went to Ames, IA on Thursday to see a power plant that they had built for Iowa State. He had a great time and came home to tell me how much he loves power plants! I think things should calm down for us for a while now. I don't travel again until April 23-26. I'll be going to Palm Springs, CA for our board meeting and the Power of 7 Seminar.

I'm dreaming about sunny California now as I watch the big snow flakes fall from the sky. Where did spring go?

Things are going well for us - just living and loving life!

Watch out KC! The Geists are here!

Andrea's parents came to visit last weekend. We took a tour of the city and showed them where we work. It took an entire day just to do this since we work on opposite sides of the city! They came up on Sat. night and then went with us to church on Sunday. We took them to one of our favorite restaurants - PepperJax!

YUM YUM! Our lunch!

Easter decorations!

I decorated for Easter this weekend!

Our fun Easter bunny!

Chris is finishing the taxes! Our weekend project. Isn't the Easter runner and tree adorable?
(of course, my honey is too!)

The Easter tree that already had an accident. It's a little top heavy, so it doesn't like to stand upright. (Especially when a certain boy kicks a certain ball into it - hehe!)

I love to decorate, so I'm a little early for Easter. I guess I need more St. Patrick's day decorations! So fun!

Ski Trip 2009

So I've been waiting to post about our ski trip until I had some pictures. You see, I forgot my camera and it's a long story...I started feeling sick on the Monday before we were supposed to leave for our trip on Wednesday. That Tuesday I still didn't feel good, so I decided I better get to the doctor. He prescribed me an antibiotic, but I was in terrible pain that didn't allow me to sleep well and I was just generally a mess as we were getting things packed. Therefore, I forgot to grab the camera (and didn't care too much when I realized since I felt so bad). By Wed. night I began to feel better and I was ready to go skiing by Thursday! One of my best college friends, Rachel, lives in Denver, so we stayed with her Wed. night.

On Thursday morning, we continued on to Dillon, where we rented our skis and then headed up to Copper to ski for the day. We skied Thursday, Friday and Saturday and then drove back on Sunday. We went to one interesting restaurant on our trip, Pug Ryan's, which was a neat little brewery across the street from our condo. Other than that, we were pretty lazy in the evenings - recovering from our day of skiing. Of course, we spent some time in the hot tub before dinner every night!

Here's a snapshot of our trip:

The truck that got us there! Chris and I rode with Johnny and Logan.

We spent many hours together in college. Chris lived with these guys pretty much all through college.

We had a great trip - we're already looking forward to the next ski trip!
